Unit Price: Compare & Save is developed and operated by Chai Jang. This privacy policy explains how Unit Price handles your data. We are committed to protecting your privacy — Unit Price is designed as an offline-first app that stores all comparison data locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or share your personal information with any external servers.
Unit Price stores all comparison data (prices, quantities, units) locally on your device using an embedded database (Hive) and does not transmit this data to external servers. Under Apple's privacy guidelines, data that never leaves your device is not considered "collected." The table below summarizes our data practices across all of Apple's standard privacy categories.

Note: Unit Price does not require an account or sign-in. All comparison data is entered manually by you and stored only on your device. The app uses two third-party services (Google AdMob and RevenueCat) described in detail below.
All comparison data you enter (prices, quantities, units, item labels) is used solely to provide the app's core feature: calculating and comparing unit prices. This data is stored locally on your device and never transmitted to external servers.
Unit Price offers a one-time Pro upgrade. Purchase status is managed through RevenueCat, which communicates with Apple's App Store to verify your purchase. RevenueCat assigns an anonymous identifier to track entitlement status — no personal information is required or collected.
Free users see banner ads provided by Google AdMob. If you upgrade to Pro, all ads are removed. See Section 8 for details on tracking and advertising.
Unit Price uses two third-party services:
Your comparison data (prices, quantities, item labels) is never shared with any third party. It exists only on your device.
We may be required to disclose information if compelled by law, but since we do not have access to your comparison data (it exists only on your device), we have nothing to disclose.
All comparison data is stored locally on your device for as long as you choose to keep it. You can clear comparisons at any time from within the app.
Uninstalling Unit Price will remove all app data from your device. Since no comparison data is stored on external servers, uninstalling the app is a complete deletion of all Unit Price data.
RevenueCat retains anonymous purchase records to verify your Pro entitlement across device reinstalls. This data is not linked to your identity.
Unit Price stores your data in an embedded local database on your device. The security of your data benefits from your device's built-in protections, including device encryption, passcode/biometric locks, and the iOS app sandbox which prevents other apps from accessing Unit Price's data.
Communications with third-party services (AdMob, RevenueCat) are encrypted via HTTPS/TLS.
Because Unit Price stores all comparison data locally on your device and we have no access to it, you have complete control over your data at all times.
If you are located in the EEA, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, and port your personal data. Since all comparison data is stored locally on your device and we do not process it on any server, these rights are inherently fulfilled — you have direct, unrestricted access to all your data.
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected, to delete your personal information, and to opt out of the sale of your personal information. Unit Price does not sell personal information. All comparison data resides on your device and is fully under your control.
Unit Price is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since all data is entered manually by the user and stored only on the local device, no comparison data is transmitted to us regardless of the user's age.
If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the app, please contact us and we will provide guidance on how to remove that data from the device.
Unit Price displays non-personalized banner ads to free users via Google AdMob. The app does not request access to your advertising identifier (IDFA) and does not track you across apps or websites.
Unit Price does not use any analytics SDKs, crash reporting tools, or other tracking mechanisms.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this policy and, where possible, providing notice within the app. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
Continued use of Unit Price after changes to this policy constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
